Welcome

I enjoy writing and sharing my life. I learned long ago that sharing what we know and what we learn is the only way we advance.

BENIGN BIOPSY! Whoot Whoot

My primary care doctor just phoned with the results of the biopsy one day ahead of schedule. Benign! Because of the type of clarifications, I will have a higher risk of breast cancer than average. She said I need to continue with yearly mammograms.

I was at my mother's side when she died after suffering from multiple cancers over a 20 year+ period. The last was fast growing external breast cancer. I don't remember her having regular mammograms.

Thank goodness I live in an age of modern medical technology and have insurance to take care of hugely costly diagnostics. I believe that our insurance system needs reforming. We are one of the most advanced nations economically, but rank very low in supplying affordable health care when compared with nations of similar economic status. We are soon to find out what the Supreme Court thinks about the latest attempt to make a difference."Obama Care" may not be the answer, but are our leaders looking for and presenting alternatives?
